The first step is removing the metal frame that surrounds the scooter, which is placed there to protect it during transit. The frame is held together by 30 nuts and bolts, three on both long sides along the top, five on both long sides along the bottom and two on both short sides on the bottom.
A 14mm socket can be used to unscrew the nut, with another 14mm socket used to stop the bolt from turning.
Once all 30 have been removed, the six poles (three on each side) can be taken off, and then the upper part of the frame can be lifted off.
