The rear axle is attached to the tricycle using two brackets. The left bracket (looking from the rear) is wielded onto the axle, whilst the right bracket comes separately and must be attached.

It is easiest to do the left bracket first. It can be helpful to use a brick (or other object) to hold the motor in place whilst screwing the bracket in, but isn't required.

Once the left bracket is holding the axle in place, it is relatively easy to do the right bracket.
