The first step is removing the metal frame that surrounds the scooter, which is placed there to protect it during transit. The frame is held together by 16 nuts and bolts, two on both long sides along the top, four on both long sides along the bottom and two on both short sides on the bottom. However you can save some time by only doing the ones along the bottom, which is 12 nuts and bolts.
A 14mm socket can be used to unscrew the nut, with another 13mm socket used to stop the bolt from turning.
Once you have removed the 12 bolts along the bottom you can then lift the frame off and remove it.
